Theresa Napurrurla Ross is a Warlpiri woman from the remote Central Australian community of Yuendemu. She started reading the ABC radio news last year and is proud to share her language with listeners in the region.
She says it’s important to keep her community updated with changes by Government with Centrelink, housing and education.
Theresa also loves to share international news, “the people in the community listen to what’s happening in the world”.
“I love reading the news in Warlpiri because it helps me to keep my language strong”, she says.
