A mid-west Western Australian Aboriginal group has secured a Commonwealth grant that is designed to help preserve an Indigenous language.
The Bundiyarra Aboriginal Community Aboriginal Corporation is set to receive the $55,000 grant to digitalise some of its existing language resources.
A number of other Aboriginal bodies across the state received funds to do the same, as part of the Federal Government’s Indigenous Languages Support program.
The Member for Durack, Melissa Price, says the program is helping Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people keep their languages alive.
