The Juru-Gnaro-Gia tribes of the coastal people between Ayr and Whitsunday and Proserpine speak The Birri-Gubba Language. Inland tribal groups of Biria and Janga & Wiri also speak Birri-Gubba Language with a slightly different dialect in some words, but communicate quite effectively. Our Language has been slowly introduced into schools, churches and youth groups and wider community. We have produced a set of Animal Language card games. We are now working on a dictionary book and also a storybook in Language and English.
