The West Coast Language Centre, in conjunction with Adelaide University and T.W.T, promotes the languages of the West Coast.
It holds historical information about 3 languages:
- Wirangu language from the Ceduna region,
- Mirning language from around the Nullarbor plain,
- Gugada (Kokatha) language from the desert.
The Language Centre is here for the safe keeping of languages of the West Coast region and also holds some resources to encourage you to learn and teach your language to younger generations.

This project intends to address the following areas:
- Support for the maintenance of Indigenous languages.
- Increase in use of Indigenous languages in a range of fields and media, including greater Indigenous community engagement.
- Increase in public appreciation of Indigenous language’s.
